Recently a loved one had to be rushed to Phoebe due to non-corona issues. While on Google Duo she said she actually had a pleasant experience at Phoebe. Both she and the nurse in the room shared equal shock and laughter at the comment. And we all know very well why. Does anyone feel that Phoebe Putney has theirs or their community’s best interest at heart? We all have a general acceptance of the fact that Phoebe is run by profit-hungry thugs and derelicts. But why do we accept it?? Why don’t we build a better healthcare system that actually embodies the mission of making lasting positive change in a community that desperately needs it?? With that being said, special designation needs to go out to all the powerful nurses and doctors that sacrifice their lives to provide excellent care despite the crushing blows of a politically violent profit system disguised as a healthcare provider.

The opening words of the New Phoebe Mission are, “We empower every member of the Phoebe Family to safeguard the health of our communities…” On their site they describe the Phoebe Family as their employees; which i take to mean specifically the execs and higher up decision makers. Their goal isn’t to empower the community, but to empower themselves, to make decisions about your health for you; regardless of their impact.

Where are your shining voices during this COVID-19 pandemic?! Why aren’t you guiding Southwest Georgia toward greater immune system strengthening practices?? Cause a mask ain’t gone do much for you if your immune system is trash. Why aren’t you telling the people ways that they can render not just coronavirus, but every other poisonous pathogen practically powerless when they provide their bodies with VEGETABLES, SUNLIGHT, and adequate WATER, as well as remove from their diets processed foods, dairy products, and harmful chemical substances such as opioids?? Why aren’t you advocating for daily exercise?? Where is your leadership? Could it be because you profit from the declining health of the people? Could it be because you’re getting paid lavishly for each COVID patient you rack up?? Could it be because you just don’t give a f********? Like Yola?!

We have to reduce the capacity Phoebe and other health organizations have to influence the health of our community. Our Community Healthcare Leaders have disgracefully failed to lead us to a land of prosperous health because they have utterly disregarded the need to provide the proper community health education that would empower the people to make the best dietary and lifestyle decisions possible. In so failing, they have contributed to a climate of dis-ease in Southwest Georgia.

Are these the hands you want holding the fate of your health?? Why not your own??

I don’t know all the details, but i know these short-sighted goons were mentioned in the discussions about theclosing of my alma mater. Shout out to my Highschool English teacher Miss Shepherd. Shout out to my creative writing teachers throughout my life. They shouldn’ta never gave me the English language.

And another thing!! There are far too many dialysis clinics in this city!! People are losing their kidneys left and right due to high blood pressure!! High blood pressure due directly to diet!! I’m 31, my blood pressure was 189/120!! Albany has virtually no well established vegan restaurants, that i know of.. Somebody help me. How are we surrounded by farmland and no one has any vegetables in their homes. It’s in our hands.
